Easily accessible from Highway 401, 1000 Islands Mall has long been the retail focal point for the City of Brockville and the surrounding region. The fully enclosed mall is anchored by Sears and Shoppers Drug Mart and is home to a variety of national retailers including Le Chateau, Ardene, Footlocker, Bentley, Labels, Pennington’s, Staples, The Source and Stitches Mega Outlet. 1000 Islands Mall is also a major recreation and entertainment hub in the region housing China Buffet, Galaxy Cinemas, and Kelsey's.

While this mall provides a variety of services, it is a typical 60's mall layout -- accessible only from a very busy 4-lane arterial with no bike lanes and little in the way of bicycle-friendly motorist behaviour, with the mall entrances reached only by navigating acres of bicycle-unfriendly parking lot. The "accessible from the 401" comment speaks to the bicycle-friendly knowledge quotient of this mall at the current time.

Services provided by this mall can be found in other locations in town that have much friendlier access for cyclists.
